Families moving downtown

The DMN has an interesting story on families moving into downtown Dallas lofts. Not just singles, working or retired couples, but families with children.
Long lovers of the most urban of lifestyles, Noel and Zane Aveton bought their dream downtown Dallas loft and began remodeling it.
Then, Ms. Aveton discovered she was pregnant.
Raise a baby in a massive two-story building on Jackson Street, with its exposed ductwork and concrete floors, that once housed a printing company? Push the buggy along streets populated by panhandlers and lined with parking lots?
Why not? they decided.
I'm still interested in finding a loft in the downtown Waxahachie district. Anyone have a dirt cheap building they're ready to sell or a great rental unit with rooftop access?
