A large piece of roadway equipment ended up on its side along FM 66 just outside Waxahachie. The crews were working on a contract with TxDOT to increase safety along the road by adding a 3-foot shoulder when the tractor lost traction and slid and flipped on it's side.
No one was hurt in the accident.
An interesting side note is that the workers told me to be sure and not mention that they were Mexicans in the paper. They said to say they were Arabs or some other race. They didn't want immigration showing up to send them back to Mexico.
Although one worker added that he enjoyed the free trips home. He's been sent home three or four times and got to see his mom and family and then came back two or three days later.
